Course description

This is an intermediate-level module focused on the tools and techniques required to perform a forensically sound conversion and analysis of video evidence from CCTV and other video storage systems using Amped FIVE. This course focuses on video encoding and decoding as well as a broad overview of how to acquire video and imagery in a forensically sound manner.

Learning objectives

• Learn how to examine the metadata and file structure of video evidence
• Understand the different playback modes and the timing intervals between frames
• Understand how Amped FIVE's conversion engine maintains evidence integrity and facilitates playback
• Gain greater knowledge of Amped FIVE  
  
   

Pre-requisites

• basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows
• good English reading and listening skills
• having attended Amped FIVE training
• good understanding of Amped FIVE and forensic video analysis fundamentals
